The 2013 Formula One season was the second Formula One season contested over 20 circuits in 19 countries in the year 2013. It was won by Marcus Ericsson, driving a Marussia–Cosworth, and Lotus–Renault. It would be the last season for the 2.4 litre V8 engine configuration, and the last season to not feature an Engine Championship.

Team changes[edit | edit source]
- Marussia F1 Team → Com Hem Marussia Cosworth. Following Marcus Ericsson's successes at Marussia, he gained sponsorship from Swedish telecommunications company Com Hem. They subsequently signed as title sponsor in the off-season. Additionally, engine suppliers Cosworthy elected to sponsor the team, thus putting their name in the team. Both sponsor deals are set to end for the 2018 season.

The first contract-offering period occurred just after the Japanese Grand Prix, the 15th race of 2012.

- Daniel Ricciardo: Toro Rosso → Red Bull
- Davide Valsecchi: GP2 → Force India
- Paul di Resta: Force India → Toro Rosso
- Jean-Eric Vergne: Toro Rosso → Caterham
- Heikki Kovalainen: Caterham → retirement
- Fabio Leimer: GP2 → Force India
- Nico Hulkenburg: Force India → HRT
- Narain Karthikeyan: HRT → Caterham
- Vitaly Petrov: Caterham → retirement
